Maria Otero - Founder/ President
We don't wear capes, we don't have special powers, we are ordinary people coming together as a community for a greater cause.
I am a mother of two amazing boys, a full time employee and a wife to my best friend of 14 years. Currently I am studying at the University of Miami, and enrolled in the Public Administration Master's program. I was born in Nicaragua and came to this amazing country, fleeing from a civil war. As a US citizen, I have learned that dreams can become a reality with hard work, passion and persistence.
Being a native Nicaraguan, I have seen the devastating poverty levels firsthand. I began this organization with a vision, a vision to help as many families as possible. Having, showing and giving love is the first step in creating a cultural change. I believe there are many people out there who see my vision and feel the urge to help others. I invite you to join us on this journey and become a part of the movement for more love.

 Jillian Garcia - Secretary

“A goal without a plan is only a wish.” -Unknown
I am a full-time mother to a handsome boy, and I am an employee at the University of Miami. I have an Associate Degree in Science and I am currently working on my Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance. During my free time, I love spending time with my son.
This organization has touched me because as a mother I know that babies require quality care during their early months of development. As a single mother, I personally know the financial difficulties that come with having a baby. Every child deserves the best care possible, and it is our mission to reach them.

Chrystie Gonzalez del Valle- Director of Communications and Community Affairs

I am a University of Miami employee and graduate student, studying public relations, and I received a B.S. in International Affairs from Florida State University in 2015.

I am excited to delve into this project and develop it into an internationally known organization. These families are the future generation and we would be doing the world a disservice if we did not help others that are not able to help themselves. This is why I will be joining the WLM team by handling social media, publicity and promotions.
